Origin of WreckaStowe
The seeds for WreckaStowe were planted many years ago by two people, my grandmother and my lifelong musical hero. Growing up, they both instilled in me a love for creativity in general, and many other things. My grandmother and I used to spend a lot of time at Mosqueda Center doing arts & crafts with other crafters, working on projects and learning new techniques. She taught me how to do all kinds of craftwork and to be creative with everyday items. I can still remember very clearly the day she cut off the leaf of my cherished stuffed doll because she needed a piece of felt for one of her projects! At the time it was no laughing matter in my eyes, but today I can laugh about it and the many other times we shared together. My grandmother was a very special woman and instrumental in my life in more ways than just arts & crafts, so was my hero. I owe everything to them. In later years, that creativity has grown to include photography and digital art too.
WreckaStowe is not only an outlet for me to share my art and creativity, but it's also a way for me to honor both of them, and the tremendous impact they've had in my life. <-- Words cannot even begin to adequately codify that. Some of the seeds they planted took a long time to grow, but finally came to bloom when WreckaStowe the art shop was created in 2005 and officially opened its doors for business in 2013.
I hope that you will enjoy my creations as much as I did in making them. :0)
